THE OPEN

Markets open higher on the heels of the news from C - and congrats to all the stakeholders. DJIA +140, NAZ +29 and SPX +18.

Strong sectors include metals, banks, brokers, telecom, gaming and semis while utils, defense and biotech lag.

NYSE- 1835 net winners;

NAZ- 995 net winners;

NDX- 85 GREEN;

OEX- 90 GREEN;

VIX- down 6.5% at 68;

Up volume 10X the down;

Gold -at/near $825.

Crude- $51.3.

Markets continue to move higher as I type but a bit skeptical here as it feels like this will get faded. Weak stocks include GOOG TEVA SHLD BIDU ALL GD PEP.

Bottom line- looking to fade later in the day as when we start out so strong it usually doesn't last.
